The 96W host charging is enough for most ultrabooks and many 14-inch performance laptops, while the extra USB-C and USB-A charging outputs are useful for phones, headsets, and small accessories. Display support is generous on paper, especially for Windows users who can use MST for extended multi-monitor setups. The important caveat is that the actual display result depends heavily on the laptop's USB-C DisplayPort mode, and Mac users should not buy it expecting three independent extended displays. The port layout is also more modern than old USB-A-heavy docks, but users with many legacy peripherals may want a dock with more USB-A.
