Very Good
The Dell HD22Q is a smart niche dock rather than a universal recommendation. It gets a lot right for office users: 90W charging is enough for most USB-C laptops, the port layout is practical, HDMI 2.1 gives it more headroom than older HDMI 2.0 business docks, and the wireless charging stand is genuinely useful instead of gimmicky if you keep a phone within reach all day. The trade-off is that this is still a native USB-C DP Alt Mode dock, so monitor support depends heavily on the host laptop and available display bandwidth. Dell's own resolution table shows big differences between HBR2, HBR3, and DSC-capable systems, and multi-monitor expectations can fall apart fast on older laptops. User feedback is also mixed around wake behavior and monitor negotiation, which is common in this class but still worth calling out. If you want a compact dock with phone charging and mostly standard office I/O, the HD22Q is appealing. If you want the cleanest possible multi-monitor experience across many different laptops, a Thunderbolt dock or a DisplayLink-based universal dock is the safer bet.
