Buy the HP Thunderbolt 4 Ultra 280W G6 Dock for a supported HP ZBook or other HP workstation that needs more than USB-C Power Delivery can reliably provide. In that setup, the dock is cleaner than running a Thunderbolt dock next to a separate workstation charger, and it has the ports most desk setups need. The 1 m combo cable is longer than HP's older G4 workstation cable, the cube body is easier to place, and the G6 display table is better for modern high refresh monitors than the old dual 4K office dock story. The catch is that it is still an HP fleet dock first. If you plug in only the USB-C branch, HP says the cable can deliver up to 180W only on EPR-capable hosts and 100W on non-EPR hosts.
